Adding patients in bulk is a great way to build your account quickly and efficiently. Below is a video tutorial with step-by-step instructions to help!
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. First, click on the Patients link in the left navigation. This will display a list of patients that are setup for your organization
2. Next, on the top right side of the list click on the +New Patient button to add new patients
3. You can choose to create a single patient or upload a CSV file with a list of your patients. If you'd like to upload patients one at a time use the helpful add new patient article
4. To upload and create patient in bulk, click on the +Bulk Upload Patients field in the new patient dropdown. The new patient bulk upload prompt will be displayed
5. Start with downloading the CSV template. This will display in the pop-up box in the platform
6. Fill in your patients information according to the structure that is provided in the CSV template.
Important! Make sure that:
- There are no duplicate emails
- Phone numbers is enter according to the example starting with a plus sign “+1555555555”
7. Save the update CSV file
8. Drag and drop the file in the designated are of the upload prompt and click the Preview button. A list of all the patients in your file will be displayed. Don't worry, the system will notify you in case of any entry errors! If you get an error, just update the errors and try to upload the file again
9. Click on Create button to create a new patients list. Once you do that:
- You will see all the newly created patients on top of the patient list
- Patients will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to set up their account depending on if the “Notify patient via email” checkbox was checked or not
10. Lastly, click on the newly created patient to see a detailed view of their profile. From this screen, you will be able to:
- Edit patient information
- Reset their password
- Enable or Disable their account
- Resend activation email
- View patient profile
- Create a new test order
- View patient’s order history
- View patient’s Health questions
- View patient’s test results
- Take notes related to the patient
- See the status of sample collection kits associated with the patient
